Happy Birthday, Mr. Tester!!

For some crazy reason, two PTO members decided to line part of the front walk and across the building with birthday candles for our principal, Mr. Tester, who celebrates his special day today. On that note, if you are in the building today, please wish Principal Tester a great day!!

**suspects photos will be posted later today
~a new photo of Mr. Tester standing next to his sign is being added (5:15 PM), however, the culprits could not be photographed. We did find out, though, that is was Mrs. Mosgrove and Mrs. Laise.

First Day of School

The first day of school, hard to believe it is here! We had a welcoming assembly this morning and then all students and staff went outside to recite the Pledge of Allegiance. It was a great morning! Pictured below are our three KG teachers...Miss Rineharet, Ms. Schlenker and Mrs. Shenk.
The theme of the assembly was a "star" mission....we had some of our staff 'travel' into outer space to bring back messages of respect, responsibility and doing our best. Great job to space Commander Jackson, Lts. Hilty, Bush and Hadding.

last day fun

On the last day of school, Mrs. Black and the jump rope club performed their stuff for the entire school. Mrs. Black insists that it isn't over until at least one parent and/or a teacher tries to perform some of the tricks. This video caught Mr. Laise trying to outjump some of the jump rope club. How do you think he did?

PTO School Carnival

The PTO hosted it's annual school carnival on Friday, April 18th. The carnival was held from 6 until 8:30 PM. There were games and food as well as a huge raffle . The PTO would like to thank everyone that volunteered their time to help make the carnival successful. Posted are some photos from the night's activities.
A quote from Marian Wright Edelman, an American lawyer and social activist states this: "Education is for improving the lives of others and for leaving your community and world better than you found it." The PTO would like to acknowledge all of the support from parents, teachers, staff and community members that continually help us throughout the year in making our school a great place to learn.

THANK YOU!

PTO Recycle Day

So much has been happening at Cridersville School! I am certainly behind on posting pictures but will try my best to catch everyone up now. On Saturday, April 5, the PTO worked the Cridersville area recycle in Tower Park. The weather was much nicer than last year when we worked...we had many people come and help. We would like to thank Mrs. Bucher, Ms. Schlenker, Mrs. Rinehart, Mr. Tester and Mr. Horner for volunteering their time on the weekend to help us out. Thanks also to the families of PTO members who helped.
